CSI’s Investment Dealer Supervisors Course (IDSC) is generally no longer accepted as the required proficiency path for CIRO Investment Dealer approval under the new CIRO proficiency model. The IDSC may still be valid in limited circumstances, such as where an individual is covered by CIRO’s transition provisions, is continuing in the same approved role under applicable grandfathering rules, or has received a discretionary exemption from CIRO. Because individual circumstances may vary, learners should confirm their specific requirements with the registration department at their firm before enrolling or relying on the IDSC for approval purposes.
