CIPR is a national registry for individuals entering the insurance industry. You must:

Once you pass all certification exams, SeeWhy will update your CIPR profile so you can proceed with your provincial licensing exams.

- Click Register.
- Select the regulatory body specific to your province.
- Enter the required information and complete registration by clicking Register at the bottom.
After registering, you will receive an automated email with your CIPR number and profile details. Keep this number for future use when registering for courses, exams, licenses, and regulatory communications.
- Exams are written online using RapidLMS powered by LearnerVerified, which uses biometrics and AI proctoring technology which records your session and flags any potential misconduct for human review.
- You may write all four modular exams at once or complete them separately.
- The cost is $12.50 per exam attempt (Note: Some corporate clients include exam fees in the registration cost).
- You are allowed four (4) attempts per module. If you fail any module four times, you will be required to pay to re-register in the LLQP course before continuing.
- It can take up to 2 business days after registering in the LLQP with SeeWhy Learning before access to the certification exams is available in your student account.
- You must wait 24 hours before re-attempting a certification exam.
RapidLMS is the secure online platform used by SeeWhy Learning to deliver our LLQP certification exams and manage learner progress. It uses a comprehensive learner verification and monitoring system designed to maintain the highest standards of exam integrity, privacy, and security. The process includes:
1. Learner Identity Verification
Before accessing the LLQP course or certification exams, each learner must complete a multi-step authentication process through LearnerVerified, including:
- Logging in with a username and password tied to their CIPR number
Uploading a government-issued ID and completing a live photo capture - Submitting a facial biometric scan at course entry, with biometric re-authentication for subsequent access
- This ensures the registered individual is the one completing the course and writing the exams.
2. Exam Session Monitoring & Proctoring
While writing the certification exam, learners are monitored in real time through AI-driven proctoring and facial detection. Key monitoring protocols include:
- Time threshold: Exams completed in under 10 minutes are flagged
- Absenteeism: Leaving the screen during the exam is not permitted
- External assistance: Any help from others is strictly prohibited
3. Post-Exam Review
After submission, each exam session undergoes manual review by a support agent. If the system flags concerns—such as absence, multiple faces, or rapid completion—they are investigated. If fraud is confirmed, the exam is failed in accordance with our Academic Fraud & Collusion Policy, regardless of the score.
4. Grading and Retake Policy
- Exams are auto-graded and results appear instantly
- Learners may attempt each certification exam up to four times within one year
- A 24-hour waiting period applies between unsuccessful attempts
- Once passed, a module cannot be rewritten
RapidLMS is designed to ensure that only qualified learners advance to provincial licensing, while upholding rigorous standards of fairness, security, and compliance.
- You will receive your exam results (pass/fail) immediately in your RapidLMS account.
- Note: You will not receive an email with the results.
- If the video footage or your ID is flagged for further review, a support agent will review it on the next business day.
- You will be contacted by email if additional information is required or if potential misconduct has been identified.
- Once you have passed and cleared any review, a digital badge will appear in your account.
You should contact RapidLMS for support with technical issues related to:
- Accessing your RapidLMS account
- Certification exams
- CIPR registration and certification
- Learner verification
You can contact RapidLMS support through the contact form in your RapidLMS account, at https://swl.rapidlms.com/contact.
Once you have completed all required certification exams associated with your registration, our team will review and approve your exam footage. After approval, we will certify you in the CIPR database.
You will then receive an email from RapidLMS outlining the next steps. This email will include:
- Your CIPR number
- A list of provincial regulators you may need to contact
- Additional details relevant to your program
In most cases, the regulators are updated immediately, and you may proceed directly to your provincial exams. The only exception is Durham College, where processing may occasionally be delayed.
Please note: Once you are certified, it is your responsibility to book and complete your provincial exams using the information provided in the email. If you have questions or issues regarding the provincial exams, you will typically need to contact your provincial regulator directly.
You must register directly with your provincial Insurance Council.
Visit: https://www.abcouncil.ab.ca/other-provincial-regulators/
(Note: This page provides links to all other provincial regulators.)
Once you pass your final modular exam, your certification is valid on CIPR for one year.
This gives you one year to complete your provincial licensing exams. Be sure to check specific deadlines with your provincial regulator.
You will be provided with a tablet during your LLQP provincial exam.
